Triangle Frenzy at Sewco – Creative Grids rulers, patterns and fabrics available
This week saw Susan showcasing to everyone who attended our Club Morning Tea the exciting Creative Grids 60 degree Equilateral ruler in use. Susan made one of the eye-catching Triangle Frenzy Swirl table centrepieces during Club to show how easy and effective this pattern and ruler can be to use. The table runner is the project for September Small Projects with Susan being held this month. With classes being held on Thursday 18th September between 9.15am and 12.15pm or Saturday 20th September between 12.45pm and 3.45pm, why not come along and join in the fun? It will be interesting to see all the different variations on this stunning piece once they are completed.
This pretty table runner can be made using any border fabric that you desire and by following the simple pattern and cutting directions using your Creative Grids 60 degree equilateral triangel ruler, you too can make this beautiful piece. Watch the video at bel0w to see this ruler in action.
I decided to go for a walk around the shop to see what border fabric I could see on the shelves to share with everyone. I found in the first few minutes of hunting at least 6 and I am sure there are many more to get you started. The variation below is the SWIRL Table Centrepiece, which is a smaller version to the Tablerunner.
The first sample uses the vibrant Pansie print fabric collection that we have currently in stock. I am sure you will agree it looks stunning.
The second sample could be inspirational in getting your Christmas gift ideas on the way. I found this Christmas fabric with Poinsettias with the red and gold tones which would allow you to create a project similar to the one pictured.
Here are just a few samples of different fabrics that we have in stock that could be also be inspiring.
And the hero of the piece – the Creative Grids 60 degree Equilateral Triangle Ruler
