I found Sewco using the Internet when new to Brisbane and with the aid of my GPS discovered it wasn’t too far away. Not sure if it is my closest store but I haven’t needed to find another. I was amazed that with so many machines and serges the staff could just sit and demonstrate the features of the different brands. After picking up my new machines and excitedly setting up at home I seemed to be missing some things a call to the shop and yes one box had been missed ‘don’t panic’ said the staff ‘we will drop it in this afternoon on our way home’.
Using the Sewco website I then discovered a world of classes so attended the information day explaining the different classes and meeting the educators. My calendar is now filling with half and some full day classes to assist with using all of my machines features and some fun with bag making. I have joined the Sewing and embroidery Club mornings and met some new friends, seen the results produced by some very clever members and watched the demonstrations of different techniques. Lesley’s show and tell can be funny as well!!
I love receiving the regular newsletters to keep informed of what’s happening new things visiting educators and it is also a reminder of what I have on this week and to check in case there is something I may have missed. My sewing journey in Brisbane is amazing fun great etc. The staff at Sewco have helped with everything from choice of machines right down to explaining different threads. I love visiting the store for inspiration, fabrics and adding things to my wish list.
