Quilting and Patchwork Workshops and classes on offer at Sewco
Are you new to quilting and patchwork? Are not quite sure on how to complete your project or how to machine applique? We have a number of full day workshop being offered with Susan coming up in May and June that will certainly benefit you. These are full day classes being held between 9.15am and 3.45pm.
The first workshop that is being held is the Machine Quilting Workshop on Sunday 25th May. In this class Susan will be sharing her knowledge of quilting and patchwork. If you have finished piecing your quilt top and need to know what to do now, you will learn how to lay the backing, wadding and top together and how to stitch through all these layers. You will cover how to spray baste and / or pin your quilt. You will also be discussing threads, markers, stitches and designs along with how to use a walking foot and free motion foot.
The second workshop that will be held is the Machine Applique Workshop on Saturday 26th June. Learn with Susan how to machine appliqué along with how to use Vliesofix, satin stitch, buttonhole and blanket stitch along with other decorative stitches to create an appliqué design. You will also discuss threads, stabilizers and techniques.
Cost each workshop is $55 and there is a limited number of places available so be quick to enrol!
We have also introduced a Wednesday night Your Choice Patchwork class on the second Wednesday night of each month from 6pm – 9pm. This class is for any ladies who are new to the Your Choice night classes and would like to join Susan so she can assist and guide you as you complete your projects. Cost of the class is $27.50.
