Classes for 2015 begin on Monday – Embroidery, Sewing, Patchwork and Project classes available
We hope that everyone had a fantastic Christmas break and that you are ready to start sewing again in 2015. We have a wide range of classes that will be starting next week including Embroidery, Small Projects, Patchwork and Sewing. We suggest that you enrol as soon you can as classes are filling fast.
Our Machine Embroidery Basics classes start on Wednesday 21st January from 9.15am – 12.15pm. This class is for those of you who are new to machine embroidery or those who would like a refresher to catch up with all the wonderful changes in the industry. You will learn the importance of using the correct thread, bobbin fill, stabiliser and needles plus hooping techniques, transferring designs and practical exercises to stitch as you learn all the steps to perfect machine embroidery. This series of classes are hands-on workshops where you will stitch a variety of samples and learn valuable techniques. Cost is $100 for a block of 4 classes.
If Mystery Embroidery is more your passion, then these classes start on Thursday 15th January from 6-9pm. We also have classes available for the January project on Friday 23rd and 30th January. Come along and join in the fun with our new Embroidery teacher and complete a new and exciting project each month.
Continuing on the Embroidery theme, if you have not seen the amazing Infinity Quilt for yourself and would love to work on a project that is certainly a work of art when completed – then you should join our class where you will be guided and taught all the valuable techniques required to complete this project. The Infinity class is open to anyone wishing to embroider this stunning quilt.
Susan is back doing Small Projects in 2015 and our first project for the year is this Flower Pin Cushion. We still have a limited number of places available for Thursday 15th January from 9.15am – 12.15pm and Saturday 17th January from 12.45pm – 3.45pm. This class is always very popular so be quick so as to not miss out!
We have arranged an additional Kids Can Sew class for the January School Holidays due to popular demand. If you have a creative 8-12 year old that would love to join in the second class is being held on Tuesday 20th January from 9.15am – 1.45pm, where they will learn to sew their very own doll.
