A message from Lesley
Hi Lesley here – I am so excited to be celebrating my 21st Birthday, I cannot believe that I have had Sewco Sewing and Patchwork for 21 years, so on May 1st and 2nd we will be having a huge sale with all machines having bonuses with them and the remainder of the items in the store on sale.
We will be hosting a mini conference where special guests will be demonstration many exciting new products which we are sure will make your sewing even easier. We have included a schedule of what will be happening on the 1st and 2nd May below.
We had such a lovely club meeting on Tuesday where Joyce, one of our Club ladies, came with her granddaughter Tamara, who had brought her Quilt for Show and Tell. It was lovely too see but to the embarrassment of Tamara, Joyce had brought another quilt that had made for her by Tamara. As you can see she had embroidered all of the families’ names and told us of all the wonderful gifts that Joyce had made the family over the years. The quilt was in appreciation of all off the love Joyce had put into the gifts. Joyce was very emotional and now her Great Granddaughter Evie, loves to sew and patchwork as well.
This is why I just love this industry, there are so many of my early customers that have taught their Daughters, Granddaughters and now Great Granddaughters the love of sewing – it is just a wonderful to have been part of this. Yesterday morning we also had 13 young sewers in for a day of sewing and to see their faces when they had finished their bags was so rewarding.
This is a lady brought in her quilt which she has been loving working on for 21 years – lovingly piecing together by hand. After losing her husband, her family decided to get her quilt professionally quilted and I am sure will agree, the result is spectacular. She is so thrilled and emotional about her quilt that I have asked her if we can borrow it to display it during our Birthday celebrations as I am sure we would all love to see it close up.
