Singer Professional Cordless Kettle
A personal tale from Lesley
About six months ago, Lesley bought what she thought and what was labelled on the box a ” quiet kettle”, you know the ones where you have to turn up the volume on the television to hear over the sound of the kettle boiling in the kitchen. Lesley quickly found out when John gets up early in the morning to make a cuppa, that she may as well not need an alarm as the kettle would wake her up, it was that noisy! It was at that point that John would find himself swiftly on the way out the door for work.
Well that kettle was soon replaced with the new Singer Professional Cordless Kettle, a beautiful, sleek, stylish “quiet kettle” that lights up beautiful blue LED lights that according to Lesley “sparkle in her black kitchen”. You all know Lesley loves bling, and her new Singer Professional Cordless Kettle is her new love, especially when the beautiful blue LED lights light up when it is boiling.

Spring Carnival Postponed
Unfortunately due to a number of conflicting engagements, namely three sewing machine company launches, multiple new products being launched and staff on leave, we have had to postpone our annual Spring Carnival event. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused our customers, however it means that classes will continue on as normal during September. We are hoping to have the Spring Carnival Event in full flight as soon as possible and we will keep you updated with the new dates and the month long schedule of events.
August Mystery Embroidery Class
Each Month, Julie takes the Mystery Embroidery class on the secret rites of machine embroidery to which the class are bewildered to what the lesson holds until it commences. This week, Julie guided the class on how to make an embroidered zippered tissue holder, however the class successfully and skilfully completed the project in record time, some talented souls even creating a number of them (see photo below). Julie’s Mystery Embroidery mission like every month was a success. The class will move onto the next stage of the Mystery Embroidery Class next month, and we are looking forward to uncovering what the next mystery holds.
A special thanks must go to Gail from G.G. Designs Embroidery for her embroidered zippered tissue holder design and added bonus for our Mystery Embroidery Class attendees. We look forward to working with you again in the not to distant future Gail.

Lovely Testimonial – Lorraine Pascoe
“Late last year I was considering purchasing a new embroidery machine so I gave Lesley a call, she told me she was just unpacking the latest model BERNINA Machine, the E580.
After getting some information from Lesley, I decided to go into the shop and have a look at it. My friend and I arrived 2hrs after the phone call and after asking Lesley and Martyn Smith from Kwik Sew all the questions we could think of, I decided to purchase the machine and took it home that day. I have never regretted making that quick decision, it is a wonderful machine to sew and embroider on, I am still finding new things about it. There have been no major problems except for operator errors.
I can never thank Lesley and her staff for all their help they have given me. I never cease to be amazed at the knowledge the staff have of so many machines and models and nothing is ever too much trouble for them”.
Thank you Lorraine for your lovely words! We really do appreciate the time you took to send this letter to us and we are so pleased that you asked all the necessary questions so you felt completely at ease when making the purchase of the Bernina E580 machine. Kind regards, Lesley and the Sewco Team.
Youngest Embroiderer at Sewco – Emily C
We would like to introduce you to the youngest ever embroiderer at Sewco, the beautiful Emily who is 4½ years old and was attending class with her Mum this week. In the office, we heard lots of cute girly giggles and finally we had to investigate. We found Emily sitting on a chair hand embroidering her name. It was lovely to see Emily enjoying the art of hand embroidery and we are sure this timeless art will not be lost on Emily or her family. Well done Emily!
Until next week,
Best wishes,
Lesley and the Sewco Team
