It’s finally here!
The demonstration we have been waiting for is here at Sewco. The 5D QuiltDesign Creator Demonstration is on tomorrow 28 July 2012 between 9:30-11:30am. We still have places available, so bring a friend and come along and see the 5D QuiltDesign Creator in full flight.
Whether you are a frame quilter or an embroiderer, 5D QuiltDesign Creator will help you to quilt a masterpiece. Use step by step software wizards to create quilt blocks, design elements or borders for your automated quilter or embroidery machine.

This week our receiving bay was full of boxes with new shipments from all around the world. This week we are going to dedicate Snippets to showing you some of our new products.
Fashion Zippers
Make a statement with these fashion zippers from Coats. The current fashion trend is to expose the zipper as an embellishment or an accessory for headbands, belts, bracelets and accessorising shoes to name a few ideas. The range of options include a waterproof zipper that is great for anoraks, performance apparel or creating a waterproof carrier for maps.
We have included a free Fashion Zipper Headband Instruction Sheet so you can make the headbands in the photos below. Sewco Sewing and Patchwork have all the requirements you need to make these gorgeous headbands:

For Baby – Babyville Boutique and PUL Fabric Packs
Have a look at these simply beautiful packs Sewco have available to make gorgeous baby nappies/diapers using PUL Fabric. PUL is used as the outer part of your nappies, covers and diapers which is not the fabric, but the laminate that is applied to the fabric. PUL Fabric is relatively new to the nappy world, however it has taken Sewco customers by storm giving us the ability to create wonderful nappies in many different styles.
Each pack contains:
- 1 x Babyville Boutique Cloth Diapers Made Easy Book;
- 1 x pack of three PUL fabrics containing two prints and one solid (choose either boys pack, girls pack or unisex pack colours), and
- 1 x Babyville Boutique Labels (choose either boys pack, girls pack or unisex pack colours) to personally label your gorgeous creations.
Cloth Diapers Made Easy provides step-by-step instructions and photos for sewing a variety of cloth diaper styles. A diaper pattern accommodating four sizes is included. You will learn how to choose fabrics, work with Polyurethane laminate (PUL), use Fold Over Elastic (FOE), apply snaps, and much more!
At Sewco to complete your project we also recommend using the Snap Source -The Snap Setter Tool. The simple design of the snap attaching tools leaves the guesswork behind. The three-part tool literally snaps fasteners into place with the aide of a household hammer. Includes adapter and additional adapters that accommodate a larger snap top. The curvature of the adapters cradle the snap head to prevent crushing or cracking. The post on the tool snaps out enabling you to set a snap anywhere on the garment. We have a range of snaps including baby snaps that will compliment the Babyville Boutique and PUL Fabric Packs.

Quilters have been telling us about this product and we now have it at Sewco. Bottom Line is a 60 wt. lint-free filament polyester which is very versatile thread that can be used in many applications.
